Lot Notes These two notebooks represent a genealogical treasure trove for coat- of-arms. Franz Kellerhoff painstakingly assembled and noted down the information on this subject which he could find in graveyards, on monuments and documents during his lifetime. The present two books are the result of this lifelong passion, the books contain circa 3000 drawings, carefully ordened in alphabetical order (vol 2) and iconographical order (vol 1). Especially the latter is a unique mine of information for finding the family name to match a coat-of-arms.
The lacquer seal collection of Franz Kellerhoff was sold: Christie’s Amsterdam, 20 September 2005, lot 20.
