Letters patent of Edelknechte Evulf, son of the late Johannes von Kellenbach, Gerhard von Ebrechtilsheym and Albrecht von Ripboldiskirchen, Shrove Tuesday [20 February] 1352, acknowledging a payment of £50 due to the estate of Johannes von Kellenbach from Folker, ‘eyn edilknecht von Wilpberg’, decorative initial, 220 x 274mm (minor discolouration, punctures), seal tags (seals lacking);
Letters patent of Philip von Myden ‘gena[nn]t von Diefdach’ and his wife, Feast of SS Peter and Paul [29 June] 1384, acknowledging the purchase of a vineyard, 145 x 267mm (minor staining), seal tags (seals lacking);
Letters patent of Hermann IV of Hesse, Archbishop of Cologne, Andernach, Tuesday after Epiphany [9 January] 1481, a grant to Hermann von Wyger, 153 x 312mm (some wear and punctures, tear 30mm to upper left), seal tag (seal lacking);
Letters patent of Friderich Herr zu Pirmont und zu Erenberg and Katherina, ‘Dorchter von Eltze’, Trier, Feast of the Conversion of St Paul [25 January] 1481, decorative initial, 238 x 320mm (some browning, one puncture), seal slits, seal tag (seals and two seal tags lacking);
and two 16th-century charters, of Johann von Schönburgh, Herr zu Hartelstein, Saturday after the Conversion of St Paul [26 January] 1521, 165 x 310mm (loss to lower margin, lacking seal and tag), and Wilhelm, Herr zu Eltz and his wife Johanna, Sunday after SS Peter and Paul [6 July] 1561, decorative initial, 285 x 590mm (lacking seals and one seal tag).
Hermann von Hessen (c.1450-1508) was Archbishop of Cologne from 1480 to his death, as Hermann IV “the peaceful”.
