Aus Anlass der Eigenwerbung eines Voynich-MS-Spinners wurde in MEDTEXTL über Academia Letters diskutiert, das 500 Euro Publikationsgebühren verlangt, aber kein vernünftiges Peer Review bietet. Graeme Dunphy schrieb: ” I regularly receive mails inviting me to review for Academia Letters. I have twice written such reviews. The articles were terrible, and I slated them, but I did take the time to give detailed explanations of their weaknesses. Both were on Old Testament topics (which is no longer my main field but I do have a degree in it) and if I say their weaknesses included a hair-raisingly naive and uncritical assumption that biblical authorships and chronologies could be taken at face value, you can tell that these were not biblical scholars.
