Academia Letters ist unseriös

Aus Anlass der Eigenwerbung eines Voynich-MS-Spinners wurde in MEDTEXTL über Academia Letters diskutiert, das 500 Euro Publikationsgebühren verlangt, aber kein vernünftiges Peer Review bietet. Graeme Dunphy schrieb: ” I regularly receive mails inviting me to review for Academia Letters. I have twice written such reviews. The articles were terrible, and I slated them, but I did take the time to give detailed explanations of their weaknesses. Both were on Old Testament topics (which is no longer my main field but I do have a degree in it) and if I say their weaknesses included a hair-raisingly naive and uncritical assumption that biblical authorships and chronologies could be taken at face value, you can tell that these were not biblical scholars. Sadly, both articles were published unchanged despite my efforts, and I no longer review for Academia Letters.” Siehe auch:
